PHP - imap_utf8_to_mutf7() Function



PHP−IMAP functions helps you to access email accounts, IMAP stands for Internet Mail Access Protocol using these functions you can also work with NNTP, POP3 protocols and local mailbox access methods.

The imap_utf8_to_mutf7() function accepts UTF-8 string as a parameter and encodes in UTF-7 format.

Syntax

imap_utf8_to_mutf7($txt);

Parameters

txt (Mandatory)

This is a string value representing the UTF-8 string that is to be encoding.

Return Values

This function returns a string holding the encoded UTF-7, value of the given string in case of success and a Boolean value which is FALSE in case of failure.

PHP Version

This function was first introduced in PHP Version 4 and works in all the later versions.

Following is an example demonstrates the usage of imap_utf8_to_mutf7() function.
