News 1 - Shri Venkaiah Naidu releases the book titled “Modi’s Midas Touch in Foreign Policy”

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, M. Venkaiah Naidu, released the book titled "Modi’s Midas Touch in Foreign Policy". The book is authored by Ambassador Surendra Kumar.

The book outlines the progress and the indelible imprint on the conduct of India’s Foreign Policy by the Hon’ble Prime Minister in the last two and a half years. Collating the 3D advantages of democracy, demography and demand, the book outlines how the PM established India as the fastest growing economy and the biggest FDI destination in the world.

News 2 - Arundhati Roy announced the release of her next novel in 2017

Arundhati Roy’s second fiction, ‘The Ministry of Utmost Happiness’, will be published by Hamish Hamilton UK and Penguin India, after 19 years of her last released novel ‘The God of Small Things’. The book is expected to be published in June 2017.

The Ministry of Utmost Happiness characters will bring to life with such generosity and empathy that they can wake readers up and lend us new ways of looking at life.

The book titled – The Adivasi Will Not Dance, authored by Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar, was recently shortlisted for The Hindu Prize 2016. The Adivasi Will Not Dance is a mature, passionate, intensely political book of stories.

Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar is a medical officer with the Government of Jharkhand. He is also author of the critically acclaimed novel – The Mysterious Ailment of Rupi Baskey, which was shortlisted for The Hindu Prize 2014 and the Crossword Book Award 2014.

He received the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in June 2015.

The Cofounder, India’s First Startup Magazine, was launched. It is first of its kind Start-up Magazine to revive the conventional method of News and Stories especially for the startup ecosystem. The magazine is founded by Adhish Verma and Arunraj Rajendran.

The parent company is Hirestreet Media Pvt. Ltd. and is backed by UK-based Sharpedge. The magazine is already available in 4 cities – Jaipur, NCR Region, Bangalore & Mumbai.

News 5 - American Author Paul Beatty won the 2016 Man Booker Prize

Author Paul Beatty

Paul Beatty won the Man Booker Prize 2016 for a caustic satire on US Racial Politics. He became the first American writer to win the prize. He won for The Sellout that tells the story of a young black man who tries to reinstate slavery and racial segregation in a suburb of Los Angeles.

Beatty won £50,000 as prize money, a trophy and a designer bound edition of his book. The shortlisted authors each received 2500 Euros and a specially bound edition of their book.
