News 1 - Nathuram Godse - The Story of an Assassin released.
The book titled Nathuram Godse - The Story of an Assassin written by Anup Ashok Sardesai has been released. The book was released in Goa by BJP leader Damodar Naik on January 31, 2016. The book narrates the story of Nathuram Vinayakrao Godse, who dies prematurely.
Nathuram’s brother had suffered a life of immense mental torture. The book also speaks about the family of Godse facing countless abuses and humiliations.
News 2 - ‘India-2016’ And ‘Bharat-2016’ Year Books released.
Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting Arun Jaitley on February 18, 2016 released ‘Bharat 2016’ and ‘India 2016’ year books. These books offer information about the country and various States and Union Territories including functioning of the Government and the economy.
The electronic version for both the yearbooks were also launched simultaneously with the print version for the first time. The E versions will be cheaper and easier to store and will be priced at 75% of the print book cost.
News 3 - Tendulkar's autobiography enters Limca book of Records.
Sachin Tendulkar's autobiography “Playing It My Way” on February 18, 2016 entered the Limca Book of Records. It is the best-selling adult hardback till now. The book boasts of a record in sales revenue terms having registered Rs.13.51 crores with its cover price being Rs.899.
The book, published by Hachette India, was released on November 6, 2014 and has broken all records for an adult hardback across both fiction and non-fiction categories with 1,50,289 copies confirmed on order subscriptions.
