I am a self-taught photographer who gained an understanding of composition from my father and learned darkroom fundamentals at a community college when I was 12. Since then, it’s been a journey of discovery and evolution.

My photography today is conceptual: I re-contextualize everyday objects raising questions on contemporary issues including politics, place, and aging. I’m not constrained by certain themes; rather I continually try new subjects as I find them or borrow them, changing techniques and cameras as the situation dictates.

I continually look for new ways to approach life as art and help others look at life and their work differently. Beyond the camera, I am seen as a “creative catalyst” who helps bring out the creativity in others through speaking and workshops.
