Given: A pair of integers whose product is -12.
To find: We have to find the pair whose product is -12 and in which there lie seven integers between them.
Solution:
There are two possible pairs:
i) {-2 and 6}
Product = -2 x 6 = -12
And there lies seven integers between them - -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
i) {-6 and 2}
Product = -6 x 2 = -12
And there lies seven integers between them - -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0 and 1.
