Why the Red Sea is red in color?


The Red Sea is red in colour because of the presence of cyanobacteria known as Trichodesmium erythraeum that turns the blue-green water into reddish-brown.

 The Red Sea is located in the Middle East, between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, surrounded by the desert.
