Why should the resistance of:
a) an ammeter be very small?
b) a voltmeter be very large?
a) The resistance of the ammeter is very small so that there can be no change in the current flowing through the circuit.
b) The resistance of the voltmeter must be very large so that it will not take a high current to pass through it and measure the voltage accurately.
