Why is Cotton is smoother or softer?
Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fibre that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium.
The fibre is most often spun into yarn or thread and used to make a soft, breathable textile.
It is among the finer fibres available naturally because cotton breathes, so cotton sheets feel cool and soft against your skin.
