Why is sun called the ultimate source of energy?
The Sun is called the ultimate source of energy. Plants require sunlight, water, and CO2 for photosynthesis. Plants convert light energy from the sun into chemical energy which is in the form of food.
Animals are heterotrophs and rely directly or indirectly on plants for food. Animals consume plants and use this chemical energy for their life processes and activities.
The wind energy, tidal power, wave power depends on the sun. Hence sun called the ultimate source of energy.
