Why do we get instant energy from glucose?
The glucose molecule is a 6-carbon simple sugar molecule that is readily absorbed into the bloodstream and into the cells.
Once glucose enters the cells, it undergoes oxidation that results in the formation of the energy currency of the cell, ATP (Adenosine Tri Phosphate).
Therefore, we obtain instant energy from glucose.
