Why dispersion doesn't occur in glass slab?

Dispersion occurs due to the difference in the angle of deviation for different colours.

In the case of a glass slab, dispersion doesn't occur because the opposite sides are parallel and therefore different colours emerge parallel to each other and are seen simultaneously.
