Why can you not use a concave mirror as a rear-view mirror in vehicles?
We cannot use a concave mirror as a rear-view mirror in vehicles because it forms an inverted image of the distant objects (object at a large distance), due to which all the vehicles will be seen running upside down in the mirror. Also, a concave mirror has an extremely small field of view, which means it can form very few images of many objects at the same time.
Explanation
In a concave mirror, when an object is at distant or at infinity then the image forms at the focus. The nature of the image is real & inverted, and its size is highly diminished.
