Why are leaves suitable for photosynthesis?
Leaves are suitable organs for performing photosynthesis because leaves contain chloroplast that consists of chlorophyll pigment, responsible for absorbing sunlight (energy) for performing photosynthesis.
The broad surface of leaves, known as lamina, also contain stomata for the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide gases and for performing transpiration responsible for the absorption of water from the ground through transpiration pull.
Therefore, leaves are suitable for photosynthesis.
