Why acceleration due to gravity at equator is less than acceleration due to gravity at pole?
At the equator, the radius of the earth is maximum and at poles the radius of the earth is minimum. And we know that $g\propto\frac{1}{r^2}$.
So, the gravity on the equator is weaker than the gravity on the poles of the earth.
