Why a human being needs oxygen?
When we take a breath, we pull air into our lungs that contain 78 % nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 0.965% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, some other gases, and breathe out mostly carbon dioxide.
We breathe in mostly oxygen and nitrogen because, they are found in an abundant amount, whereas carbon-dioxide found less in the amount on the Earth.
We human beings need Oxygen because our body mechanics need oxygen to function as we take a breath, the lungs transfer oxygen in the blood which transports it to all over the body to help our cells work.
This process also produces carbon dioxide, which is a waste product and needs to be removed, so we exhale it.
