(i) In flowering plants, apical meristems are present at the tips of the branches. It consists of undifferentiated cells capable of cell division. If the tips are removed, the longitudinal growth of the plants is ceased.
(ii) Meristems are the tissue present in plants that are composed of undifferentiated cells. These cells further divide to form new tissues and organs that occur in plants.
