Solution:

Greatest number which divides 6 , 9 , 12  is HCF

Factors of 6  =  1 , 2 , 3 , 6 

Factors of 9  = 1  , 3 , 9

Factors of 12  =  1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 6 , 12

The common factors of the above are 1 and 3

But the greatest is 3

HCF  =  3

So, greatest number which divides 6 , 9 , 12  is  3
