We know that,

Unit digit of square of any number will be the unit digit of square of its last digit.

Therefore,

(i) Unit digit of square of 81 $=$ Unit digit of square of $1$

$1^2=1$.

Therefore, unit digit of $(81)^2$ is 1.

(i) Unit digit of square of 272 $=$ Unit digit of square of $2$

$2^2=4$.

Therefore, unit digit of $(272)^2$ is 4.
