What other name can you give to the line of symmetry of
$(a)$. an isosceles triangle?
$(b)$. a circle?
Given:
$(a)$. an isosceles triangle?
$(b)$. a circle?
To do: To write another name that can be given to the line of symmetry of the given shapes.
Solution:
As known that an isosceles triangle has only one line of symmetry and this is the line segment joining a vertex to the midpoint of the opposing side, and bisecting it. So, we can call it a median.
A circle has infinitely many lines of symmetry passing through the center, so we can definitely call it, a diameter.
Thus, the other name that can be given to the line of symmetry of
$(a)$. The Median of an isosceles triangle is another name of its line of symmetry.
$(b)$. Diameter of a circle is another name of its line of symmetry.
