What kind of motion is shown by a snail?
The motion of snail is known as gliding.
The snail moves by gliding along muscular foot. The feet are lubricated with mucus and covered with epithelial cilia. The succeeding waves of muscular contractions move down the ventral of the foot which assists in locomotion in snail.
