What is Tissue and Animals Tissue?


The word "tissue" derives from the French word "tissu", which means something that is "woven".

Tissues are groups of cells that have a similar structure that acts together to perform a specific function.

The organs are formed by grouping together of multiple tissues according to their function.

 

Animal tissue- is a group of cells with similar functions connected to one another. Structure, function, and origin of different tissues vary from each other.

There are 'four' different types of tissues found in animal:

1. Connective Tissue

2. Muscle Tissue

3. Nervous Tissue, and

4. Epithelial Tissue
