What Is Intestine?
The intestine is a part of the alimentary canal which consists of two parts such as the small intestine and the large intestine.
The small intestine is the longest part of the alimentary canal with a highly coiled structure which allows more surface area for absorption of digested food.
The small intestine is divided into Duodenum, Jejunum, and Ileum.
The large intestine is wider than the small intestine but short. It is divided into cecum, colon, rectum, and anal canal. Large intestines absorb water and electrolytes and then elimination of waste from the body in the form of feces.
