What is Intermolecular and Intramolecular Force?
Intermolecular forces are forces of attraction or repulsion that arise between the molecules of a substance.
Intermolecular forces are categorised into three types:-
1. Dipole-dipole interaction.
2. Hydrogen Bonding.
3. London dispersion attraction (under the category of Van der Waal Forces).
Intramolecular forces are the forces that hold atoms together within a molecule by attracting one another by the sharing of electrons.
Intramolecular forces are categorised into three types:-
1. Ionic Bond.
2. Covalent Bond.
3. Metallic Bond.
