What is food preservation and how to preserve the food from spoilage by microorganisms?
Food preservation is the activity or process of keeping edible items such as fruits and vegetables free from damage or decay and to increase the life of the food product by preventing the growth of 'microorganisms', as well as slowing the oxidation of fats that cause rancidity. The nutritive value, flavour, and colour of the preserved foods remain unharmed.
