What is Tilling?

Tilling is a form of deep cultivation which is necessary while preparing a new garden bed or when adding large amounts of organic material.

Tilling will cultivate the soil 8-10 inches deep, even in an area where the soil is very poor. Tilling can be done either manually by using various tools, or by using tractors.
