What is Melting point and Boiling point?


Melting point - It is the temperature at which solid and liquid phases of a substance are in equilibrium. At this temperature, a solid start melting to become a liquid.

Boiling point - It is the temperature at which liquid vapour pressure equals atmospheric pressure. At this temperature, the substance in the liquid phase enters the gas phase.
