What is a spring balance and how it works?\nExplain
Spring balance and its working:
- Spring balance is a device used for measuring the weight of an object.
- It has a spring attached to a hook.
- When we attach the hook to the weight, the spring extends and the pointer shows us the weight in Newtons.
- It is working under the principle called Hooke's Law.
- Hooke's law states that the force needed to extend a spring is proportional to the distance that spring is extended from its rest position.
Mathematically, Hooke's law is given as F = -kx
Wher F is applied to the spring,
x = distance moved by spring
