What do you mean by a leap year?

Normally every year has 365 days, a leap year has 366 days. A leap year occurs once in 4 years.

It takes approximately 365.25 days for Earth to orbit the Sun.

The 0.25 day is added in every year and the extra day is considered in the leap year.
