What are the two Laws of Light?
Laws of Reflection and Refraction:
There are three laws that govern Reflection and Refraction. These are derived from geometry. They are:
LAW I: The angle of Incident Ray with Normal(i) EQUALS the angle of Reflected Ray with Normal(r).(i=r)
LAW II: Popularly known as SNELL'S LAW it is $n_{1}\times sin i=n_{2}\times sin e$
where i is the same as above, e is the angle of refracted beam with normal. OR
The angle of the sine of incidence to the angle of the sine of refraction is equal to a constant
LAW III: The INCIDENT ray, REFLECTED ray, REFRACTED ray, and the NORMAL at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane. The plane is referred to as the plane of incidence.
