What are the functions of RBC, WBC, and platelets?


The functions of RBC, WBC, and Platelets are as follows:


RBC- It is the most abundant cells in the blood. RBCs give blood its characteristic red colour. It primarily carries oxygen and collects carbon dioxide through the use of haemoglobin.


WBC- It is the part of the immune system which helps to defend the body against both infectious disease and foreign materials.


Platelets- It helps in blood clotting. It releases thread-like fibres to form these clots.
