There are three solids made up of rubber, steel and wood, of the same shape and same volume. Which of them would have highest inertia, suggest appropriate reason for your answer?
Inertia depends mainly on mass. As the mass is a measure of inertia, the solid of same shape and size having more mass than other solids will have the highest inertia. Hence, out of rubber, steel and wood, steel has the greatest density and greatest mass. So, the solid made up of steel would have the highest inertia.
