The Vertical Angle Of An Isosceles Triangle Is 100°. Find It's Base Angles.

Solution:

In an isosceles triangle, base angles are equal. Let the base angles be x and x.

The vertical angle of the triangle = 100°

Sum of angles in the isosceles triangle = x + x + 100° = 180°

2x + 100° = 180°

2x = 180° - 100° = 80°

x = 80°/2 = 40°

So base angles of the isosceles triangle are 40°, 40°
