The ratio of two sides of a parallelogram is 2 : 3 and its perimeter is 60 cm. Find the sides of the parallelogram.
Given: The ratio of two sides of parallelogram is 2 : 3 and its perimeter is 60 cm.
To do: Here we have to find the sides of the parallelogram.
Solution:
We know that the opposite of the parallelogram are same. So,
The ratio of two sides of parallelogram is 2 : 3;
Let the common ratio be = $x$
Now,
$2x\ +\ 3x\ +\ 2x\ +\ 3x\ =\ 60$
$4x\ +\ 6x\ =\ 60$
$10x\ =\ 60$
$x\ =\ 6$
Therefore,
The length of each side
$2x$ = 12 cm (Two sides each)
$3x$ = 18 cm (Two sides each)
