The marks in science of 13 students are 31,37,29,41,35,35,38,36,35,38,32,29,43 . Find the range, Median , Mean and Mode.
Given :
Marks in science of 13 students are 31,37,29,41,35,35,38,36,35,38,32,29,43.
To find :
We have to find the Range, Median , Mean and Mode.
Solution :
Arranging the given data in ascending order,
29,29,31,32,35,35,35,36,37,38,38,41,43.
We know that,
$Range = Maximum value-Minimum value$
$Median = Middle value$
$Mean = \frac{Sum of the observations}{Total number of observations}$
$Mode = The observation that repeats maximum number of times$
Therefore,
$Range = 43-29 = 14$.
$Median = 35$
$Mean = \frac{(29+29+31+32+35+35+35+36+37+38+38+41+43)}{13} = \frac{459}{13} = 35.30$
$Mode = 35 (Repeated 3 times)$.
Range of the given data is 14.
Median of the given data is 35.
Mean of the given data is 35.30.
Mode of the given data is 35.
