Given:
The given table shows the number of Buses and Trucks in nearest lakh units.
To do:
We have to draw the percentage bar-diagram for the given information.
Solution:
For the year 2005-2006,
Number of Trucks$=47$.
Number of Buses$=9$.
Percentage of Trucks$=\frac{47}{47+9}\times100 \%=\frac{47}{56}\times100 \%$
$=83.92 \approx 84$
Percentage of Buses$=\frac{9}{47+9}\times100 \%=\frac{9}{56}\times100 \%$
$=16.07 \approx 16$
For the year 2007-2008,
Number of Trucks$=56$.
Number of Buses$=13$.
Percentage of Trucks$=\frac{56}{56+13}\times100 \%=\frac{56}{69}\times100 \%$
$=81.15 \approx 81$
Percentage of Buses$=\frac{13}{56+13}\times100 \%=\frac{13}{69}\times100 \%$
$=18.84 \approx 19$
For the year 2008-2009,
Number of Trucks$=60$.
Number of Buses$=16$.

$=78.94 \approx 79$
Percentage of Buses$=\frac{16}{60+16}\times100 \%=\frac{16}{76}\times100 \%$
$=21.05 \approx 21$
For the year 2009-2010,
Number of Trucks$=63$.
Number of Buses$=18$.
Percentage of Trucks$=\frac{63}{63+18}\times100 \%=\frac{63}{81}\times100 \%$
$=77.77 \approx 78$
Percentage of Buses$=\frac{18}{63+18}\times100 \%=\frac{18}{81}\times100 \%$
$=22.22 \approx 22$
The above information can be represented in a percentage bar-diagram as follows:
