Given:
The heights (in cm) of 50 students of Class XI of a particular school.
To do:
We have to find the percentage of the total number of students who have their heights more than 149 cm.
Solution:
Number of students who have their height in 150-154 group $=17$
Number of students who have their height in 155-159 group $=9$
Number of students who have their height in 160-164 group $=5$
Therefore,
The number of students who have their height more than 149 cm $=17+9+5$
$=31$
The percentage of the total number of students who have their heights more than 149 cm $=\frac{31}{50}\times100 \%$
$=62 \%$
