The diagonals of a rhombus are 8 cm and $10\ cm$. Then, find the area of the rhombus.
Given: The diagonals of a rhombus are $8\ cm$ and $10\ cm$.
To do: To find the area of the rhombus.
Solution:
As given, Diagonals of the rhombus are: $d_1=8\ cm$ and $d_2=10\ cm$
$\therefore$ Area of the rhombus$=\frac{1}{2}\times d_1\times d_2$
$=\frac{1}{2}\times8\times10$
$=\frac{1}{2}\times80$
$=40\ cm^2$
Thus, the area of the rhombus is $40\ cm^2$.
