The average salary of 19 workers in a factory is ₹ 12,000 per month. If the salary of the manager is ₹ 42,000 per month, find the average monthly salary paid to all the employees.
Given :
The average salary of 19 workers in a factory is ₹ $12,000$ per month
The salary of the manager is ₹ $42,000$ per month
To do: Find the average monthly salary paid to all the employees.
Solution:
Salary of 19 workers per month = ₹ $12,000$
Salary of manager per month = ₹ $42,000$
Total salary paid to all employees = $19\times12000 + 42000$
= ₹ $270000$
Total employees = $19+1 = 20$
Average monthly salary
= $\frac{total \ salary \ paid}{ total \ employees}$
= ₹$\frac{ 270000}{20}$
= ₹ $13500$
So, average monthly salary paid to all the employees is ₹ 13500.
