Given: +$3 \ and \ -3$

To subtract: $+3 \ from \ -3$


Solution:

Subtracting a number is like adding its additive inverse.

Additive inverse of $+ 3 \ is \ - 3$

$-3 - (+3) = -3 + (-3) = -3 - 3 = -6$


So -3 - (+3) = -6
