State the term used to denote the change of velocity with time.
Change of the velocity with time is known acceleration. It is denoted by $a$ and SI unit of acceleration is $m/s^2$.
If an object starts from the initial velocity $u\ m/s$ and in time $t$, its velocity becomes $v\ m/s$ then:
Acceleration $a=\frac{change\ in\ velocity}{time} $
Or $a=\frac{v-u}{t}$
