State one property in which a solution of sugar in water resembles a mixture of sugar and sand, and one property in which it differs from it.
Similarity: Both the mixture shows the properties of its constituents and the constituents can be separated by physical methods, such as filtration, evaporation, distillation, etc.
Difference: A mixture of sugar and water is a homogeneous mixture and it is considered to be a solution whereas a mixture of sand and sugar is a heterogeneous mixture.
