Solve the following:$\frac{3y+4}{2-6y}=\frac{-2}{5}$.
Given :
The given expression is $\frac{3y+4}{2-6y}=\frac{-2}{5}$.
To do :
We have to find the value of y.
Solution :
On cross multiplication,
$\frac{3y+4}{2-6y}=\frac{-2}{5}$
$(3y+4)5 = -2(2-6y)$
$15y+20=-4+12y$
$15y - 12y = -4-20$
$3y = -24$
$y= \frac{-24}{3}$
$y = -8$
Therefore, the value of y is $-8$.
