Rahul wanted to find the height of a tree in his garden. He checked the ratio of his height to his shadow's length. It was 4:1. he then measured the shadow of the tree. It was 15 feet. So what was the height of the tree?
Given:
The ratio of the tree's height and its shadow = 4: 1.
Length of the tree's shadow = 15 ft.
To do: Find the height of the tree.
Solution:
Let, the length of the tree = h ft.
So,
⇒ h : 15 = 4 : 1
⇒ $\frac{h}{15} = \frac{4}{1}$
⇒ h = 15 × 4
⇒ h = 60
Therefore, the height of the tree is 60 ft
