Prove associative property for the following:$34 +(-27)-12$
Given :
The given expression is $34 +(-27)-12$
To do :
We have to prove association property for the given expression.
Solution :
Associative Property of Addition for Integers:
The addition follows associative property. Associative property of addition states that
$(a+b)+c = a+(b+c)$
$34 +(-27)-12$
We know that,
$(+) \times (-) = (-)$
We can add it in any order.
LHS :
$34 +(-27)-12 = 34-27-12 = (34-27)-12 = 7-12 = -(12-7) = -5$.
RHS :
$34 +(-27)-12 = 34+(-27-12) = 34+[-(27+12)] = 34+(-39) = 34 - 39 = -(39-34) = -5$.
$LHS = RHS$
Therefore, Associative property proved for $34 +(-27)-12$.
