Priya got 18 marks out of 25 marks in History and 14 marks out of 20 marks in Economics. In which subject did she perform better?
Given: Priya got 18 marks out of 25 marks in History and 14 marks out of 20 marks in Economics.
To find: Here we have to find in which subject did Priya perform better.
Solution:
To check that, we would use percentage;
Marks percentage in history = $\frac{18}{25} \ \times \ 100$
Marks percentage in history = 72%
Marks Percentage in Economics = $\frac{14}{20} \ \times \ 100$
Marks Percentage in Economics = 70%
Therefore, she performed better in history.
