Digestive enzymes are secreted by :
a> Salivary amylase secreted by the salivary gland in the mouth and Pancreatic amylase secreted by pancreas and present in pancreatic juice acts on starch to convert it into simple sugars.
b>Pepsin secreted into stomach acts on protein into small peptides.
c>Trypsin and chymotrypsin secreted by the pancreas. Trypsin converts proteins into smaller peptides and chymotrypsin further breaks these peptides and proteins into amino acids.
