If the probability of winning a game is $ 0.3 $, what is the probability of loosing it?
Given:
The probability of winning a game is \( 0.3 \).
To do:
We have to find the probability of losing it.
Solution:
Let the probability of winning the game be $p(A)$ and the probability of not winning the game be $p(\overline{A})$.
The probability of winning the game $p(A)=0.3$
We know that,
$p(E)+p(\overline{E})=1$
Therefore,
$0.3+p(\overline{A})=1$
$p(\overline{A})=1-0.3=0.7$
The probability of not winning the game is $0.7$.
