How will you show that air supports burning?


Activity:

Aim: To show that air supports burning.

Experiment: Take a small burning candle. Cover the burning candle with a glass jar. After a few minutes, the candle is extinguished.

Observation: As the supply of air is stopped due to the glass jar the burning of candles is also stopped.


Conclusion: This experiment proves that air supports burning.
