How will you separate iron pins from sand?
The magnet can be used to separate iron pins from sand. The property of iron to get attracted towards a magnet is used to separate it from the sand.
Steps involved:
- A magnet is moved on the surface of the mixture.
- Iron pins are attracted by the magnet so they cling to the poles of the magnet and get separated.
- Repeat the step till all the iron pins are separated.
