How to separate the salt from saltwater?
Separate salt from saltwater:
Evaporation :
* The most common way to separate salt from saltwater is evaporation.
* Usually salt has a much higher boiling point than water. So, when a salt solution is heated, water gets evaporated, leaving behind salt in the container. Thus you can separate salt from the salt solution.
Alternate Method :
Distillation:
* This is the same as the evaporation method but here you can collect water also. Just offset the lid slightly as shown in the figure below.
* The water that condensed inside the lid while heating will fell down in the small jar as shown in the figure. Thus you can collect water.
